Reporting to the Executive Chef you will be responsible to:
Assist in the preparation and production of dishes to the highest possible standard
Assist in maintaining a minimal food cost by preparing and storing food items correctly
Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and tidy at the end of service/shift
Assist with the daily requisition of food and equipment items
Ensure proper cleanliness and hygiene procedures are adhered to at all times
Assist in supervising other members of the kitchen team
Qualifications
Qualifications for this role include:
Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Flexible to work hours based on business demands
Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and Work Health & Safety standards
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a similar operation
Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive team player
